Employee Benefits

Competitive Salary

The City offers competitive salaries and all new employees are subject to a one (1) year probationary period

Merit increases are based on the successful results of a performance evaluation. The City's current salary schedule and correspondence step increases is as follows:

  • Step A to B = 5%
  • Step B to C = 5%
  • Step C to D = 2.5%
  • Step D to E = 2.5%
  • Step E to F =  2.5%
  • Step E to G = 2.5%

Health Insurance

Medical, dental and vision coverage is provided by the City of Rancho Mirage for employees and their eligible dependents.

In addition, the City provides health reimbursements of medical, dental and vision expenditures for employee and their enrolled dependents. Up to $3,000 for single employees with no dependents and $6,000 for employees with one or more dependents.

City Holidays

Employees receive ten (10) paid City holidays plus two (2) paid floating holidays annually.

Vacation

Minimum two weeks annual paid vacation with higher increments at 2, 6 and 12 years.

Sick Leave

12 days per year.

Bereavement Leave

Three days for death of family member.

Retirement

The City offers a 2% @ 60 CalPERS Retirement.

 

Life Insurance – City paid life insurance policy of $50,000

Disability Insurance – City paid short and long term insurance

Disability Group Health Plan is available

Optional 9/80 program

Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage

Voluntary Deferred Compensation Program

Tuition Reimbursement Program
