City/County animal services are provided for the unincorporated areas of Riverside County, and the cities of Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Palm Desert, and Rancho Mirage. Services include sheltering of strays, lost pets and animals relinquished by owners, animal cruelty investigations, disaster response, adoption outreach, micro-chipping, lost and found, licensing, animal behavior, and volunteer coordination.
